Pharr Press Q&A: Loranne Arroyo, Lady Javelina Varsity Volleyball Player

PHARR — The Pharr Press caught up with PSJA SW High Varsity Volleyball Junior, Loranne Arroyo, and here is what she had to say about looking forward to this year’s season and about herself.

Q: What is your Team Jersey Number?

A: 11

Q: What’s your team goal for this season?

A: My goal for this year is to start having a lot of chemistry with the team which therefor leads to a stronger connection.

Q: What’s your best memory as a PSJA SW High volleyball player?

A: My favorite memory would probably be the tournaments since they’re back to back.

Q: What are your personal goals for this season?

A: My personal goals is honestly just to improve on my kills and start hitting my spots.

Q: Describe how you started getting into volleyball?

A: I’ve been playing since i was in fifth grade but it was just a whatever sport to me until i got into high school is when i started actually enjoying it and learning a lot.

Q: What specific skills do you focus on during your training sessions?

A: How to get a better spring and a faster approach on the ball.

Q: Who is your biggest supporter in your volleyball journey, and how have they inspired you?

A: My Tia has inspired me since i was little because she also use to play and till this day she corrects me in a a lot of things which i like because i believe that makes you a stronger player.

Q: What is your favorite part about being a student-athlete?

A: Just the time you get to spend with your teammates and the bond you create since not everyone is close outside of volleyball.

Q: What is one thing you love most about your hometown?

A: There’s a lot of talented people here.

A: Algebra 2
